Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland Ltd will be held at 12:00pm, on Friday, 27 October 2023.

Director Elections
In accordance with clause 5.5 of the REIQ Constitution the following members of the Board of Directors shall retire at the 2023 Annual General Meeting to be held on 27 October 2023:
- Mr Peter Camphin; and
- Mr Les Freeman.
Mr Camphin is eligible to stand for re-election as a General Member Director at this election.
Following a recent call for nominations, the REIQ received nominations from the following eligible candidates for election to the Board of Directors:

As more than the required number of nominations has been received for the available positions of General Member Director and Regional Member Director, an election ballot (which will feature postal and electronic voting options) will be conducted as provided for under the Constitution and By-laws.

Election Process
The following positions are open for election:
- 1 x General Member Director position; and
- 1 x Regional Director position.
Votes for this election must be cast by 12pm on Friday, 20 October 2023.
These positions will be filled based on the candidates with the highest number of votes in each category of vacant Member Director position. Candidates will only be eligible for the vacant position they have nominated for.
Conduct of Election and Voting
The election and voting process will be conducted by Link Market Services (LMS) which is a leading share registry and financial services provider in Australia, managing over 10 million account records and over 1000 ASX listed securities. LMS has been engaged to ensure complete independence of the election process from the REIQ Board and its control framework has been assessed by KPMG and found to be appropriate for the provision of registry services.
Entitlement to vote
Only Life, Fellow, Practising or Associate Members as at 25 August 2023 are eligible to vote.
To lodge your votes, please complete and return the enclosed forms and Declaration of Eligibility to vote with the reply paid envelope enclosed or via email to vote@linkmarketservices.com.au.
For the Director elections, each member is required to lodge only 1 vote for each of the above category of vacant Member Director positions.
Closing dates
- For Director Elections – by 12pm on Friday, 20 October 2023
- For 2023 Annual General Meeting – by 12pm on Thursday 26 October 2023
Any votes cast but not received by the Returning Officer by this time will not be included in the counting and scrutiny of votes.
